Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Décor & More
“I’ll have a Pumpkin Spice Latte with a side of Pumpkin Spice Cereal, please.” Does this sound like you or someone you may know? ‘Tis the season for pumpkin spice and everything nice, and you know what, I can’t say I mind. I recently enjoyed my first PSL of the season, shopped around for the perfect pumpkins for my front porch, and am busy trying to help my daughter decide if she’d rather be Elsa or Moana for Halloween. In South Carolina, the weather has just started to shift to that cool October breeze and I think we may have finally said goodbye to summer in the rear view mirror.
It seems like everywhere you turn Fall & Holiday décor is filling up the shelves. On a recent trip to HomeGoods, I found myself amidst the sea of pumpkin-themed dish towels, decorative accents and coffee mugs. With all-pumpkin-everything on the brain, I decided to work up a little creative magic on a DIY pumpkin décor sign that you can easily create for your home.
How to Create your own Pumpkin Décor at Home
Here’s what you’ll need to grab at the craft store:
- 1 wood slice
- orange craft paint
- wood stain
- paint brushes
- grapevine twigs
- hot glue gun
- craft knife

My finished pumpkin sign is propped up on my entry console table to greet guests as they walk through the door. I like to also include a Fall scented sachet in my entry way so the cozy fall scents usher them into our home. My current favorites that I’ll be using this season are: Grateful Thankful Blessed, Spiced Pumpkin, and Apple Pickin’.
